2- Torsion Cables
Inspect your existing cables and replace... them if they are rusty, frayed, or pinched. Also, consider replacement if they are 10 years old or older. Cables are vital as they constantly pull the door up and down. They are under extreme tension when the garage door is fully closed. You must unwind you torsion springs prior to replacing your cables. It is a great time to replace them at the same time as replacing your garage door springs.
